Universal's award-winning Halloween Horror Nights events are approaching fast, and along with a run-down of the attractions offered, the nights' mysterious face has been revealed!

Meet Lady Luck!
Meet Lady Luck!

Lady Luck is the horrifying face of this decidedly adult-oriented scare fest. Featured in a slick video on the official website, this character is your guide for the terrors to come.

So just what attractions will you get to experience this year? Here's a brief rundown:

  • Nevermore: The Madness of Poe: Step into the late writer's mind as his greatest works come to life. Every turn of the page takes you closer to insanity.
  • The Forsaken: Four ships began Columbus' fateful voyage, only three became legend. Condemned to a watery grave, the mutinous and cursed crew of that fourth ship has returned with a vengeance in a Spanish fort.
  • H.R. Bloodengutz Presents: Holidays of Horror: Join creature feature host, H.R. Bloodengutz in his final televised broadcast as he presents a scare-a-thon of slasher holiday films.
  • The Thing: Experience the paranoia that spreads among a group of researchers in an isolated Antarctic outpost as they are infected, one by one, by a horrifying creature from another planet.
  • Saws N' Steam: Into the Machine: Spinning blades and massive, crushing pistons await you around every corner as you are forced deeper into the bowels of a mechanical nightmare.
  • The In-Between: Surrounded by fiendish creatures; your eyes will deceive you with every step through this phantasm of terror.
  • Winter's Night: The Haunting of Hawthorn Cemetery: As snow falls on a serene gothic cemetery, the deceased souls that occupy its confines will awake with a vengeance.
  • Nightingales: Blood Prey: Patrolling WWI era trenches, you discover that you're being hunted!

Two live shows:

  • Bill & Ted's Excellent Halloween Adventure: The slackers return to skewer the biggest names in entertainment and pop culture.
  • Death Drums: A raw, extreme drumming experience.

Additionally, there are six scare zones:

  • Acid Assault: Acid rain survivors have stripped the city of all life. Enter if you dare!
  • Canyon of Dark Souls: You will feel like a small speck of humanity as death surrounds you .
  • Grown Evil: An overgrown garden full of death. The creatures that inhabit it make you their prey!
  • NightMaze: This ever changing maze of darkness morphs and changes as you walk through it. You will not be scared the same way twice.
  • 7: Beautiful temptresses by day, fatal, evil creatures by night.
  • Your Luck Has Run Out: Enter if you dare into the lair of legacy. Your choices will determine if you make it out alive.Witness Luck's deadly wrath.

Now in its 21st iteration, Halloween Horror Nights offers a more adult alternative to Disney's Halloween party. On select nights in September and October, Universal Studios Florida theme park becomes a fearfest of haunted houses, live entertainment, and "scare zones." Monsters and maniacs roam the studio streets in a party which is the opposite of "Not-So-Scary." This year's party celebrates the 21st anniversary of the event with an appropo blackjack -- as in 21 -- motif.

This year's event dates:
